After delivering hits like Dabangg (2010) and Dabangg 2 (2012), actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan (left) says that it is tough to make the third installment of the Dabangg franchise.

The 47-year-old says that the audiences have very high expectations from the Salman Khan-starrer, and that makes it a challenging task. “You have to ideate and think hard. You just can’t put a ‘3’ after the title of the film. If you have a franchise that has worked, it does not mean that you can go on making it,” says Arbaaz.

He adds that the team is trying hard to think of a concept that will be better than the previous two films. “I feel that we need to have something which will be better than the first two films. It has to be an out of the box idea, only then we can think of making it into a film,” says Arbaaz.

“I know that people are really waiting for the third part to come out. We created an iconic character like Chulbul Pandey and we have received a lot of love and appreciation from the audience,” he says.
