Manish Tiwary’s Issaq to have desi Romeo and Juliet

The forthcomingManish Tiwary’s project Issaq onShakespeare's Romeo and Juliet tragedy is all set to bang on screens by July 26. The movie featuresPrateik Babbar and debutante Amyra Dastur in the lead roles.The film is shot in one of the oldest cities ofU.P., Varanasi.

The director is satisfied with the lead pair as he was looking for young faces.Manish comments,"We wanted someone young for the character of Bachchi, more so since Shakespeare's Juliet was just 14. What made me choose Amyra was her headstrong personality, which is an integral part of Juliet's character as well." The director further stated about the hero, "I wanted a new-generation Romeo. I think the passion, restlessness and frustration in Prateik gels with what I had in mind."

Prateik will be depicting the character of Rahul Mishra in the venture. Jayantilal Gada, one of the producers of this flick, also liked the actor’s work. He narrated, "We liked what Manish narrated. He had already decided to cast Prateik with a new girl. And when we saw what he had shot, we were happy."Shailesh R.Singhand Dhaval Gada are co-producers in this project. Issaq is under production and is made under the banner of Pen India Pvt. Ltd.
