    At the 14th Mumbai Film Festival, Ashim Ahluwalia's directorial ventureMiss Lovelywon the Best Film’s award defeating Hansal Mehta'sShahid. According to reports, at the closing ceremony held at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) here yesterday,Miss Lovelytopped thenewly introduced competition section for Indian feature films 'India Gold' besides winning the Reliance Media Works CreaTech (Creativity & Technology) award.

    The special jury award was given to Manjeet Singh forMumbai Cha Rajaand veteran actress Waheeda Rehman was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for an Indian personality. Speaking after getting the award from MAMI chairman Shyam Benegal, Waheeda said, "I am thrilled to receive this award from MAMI. I dedicate it to the directors, producers, co-actors, technicians who have been a part of this journey with me". In the International Competition category for the first feature films of directors,Aqui Y Allawas recognised as the best film and Dwight Henry got the best actor’s award forBeasts of the Southern Wildand Julia Garner won best actress’ award forElectrick Children.
