Mohanjo-Daro’s first schedule to begin in Gujarat

Having tasted a thumping achievement from the deserts of Gujarat back in 2001 for Lagaan, director Ashutosh Gowariker would have surely made his mind to come back and shoot for another film there. Well, that’s what looks like happening here again. The sets for Ashutosh’s next film Mohanjo-Daro have been designed in Gujarat’s Bhuj area and the shoot is expected to begin soon.

Starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead, Mohanjo-Daro that is based on the Indus Valley Civilization will officially go on the floors pretty soon. While the major portions of the film are to be shot in South Africa, may be Ashutosh wants to give it a touch of India as well. The epic love story will have Hrithik and newcomer Pooja Hegde romancing each other back in the ancient era. Ashutosh, who has invested huge amount of research and hard work into the film has promised he will cut on his trademark style of length and will come up with a film lot shorter in duration.
