My Dad expects the Govinda level of perfection from me, says Varun Dhawan

As Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor started their promotional journey for ABCD 2 on the sets Dance India Dance, Varun revealed how Govinda has ‘spoilt’ his father David Dhawan since he expects that kind of excellence from everyone. Varun termed Govinda as a ‘living legend of our industry.’

Talking about how David expects the Govinda lever of perfection, Varun said, Govinda sir has spoilt my dad. As an actor, he has set such high standards that it is extremely difficult to reach up to that level. After having worked with him in numerous blockbusters, my dad kept expecting the same perfection and madness that Govinda ji used to bring to his performances and dance moves. ‘Tu Mera Hero’ was one of the toughest movies I have done, as a result. He is a living legend of our industry and nobody can be like him.”
 

Responding to this, Govinda revisited the times when David Dhawan and Shakti Kapoor would bring kids Varun and Shraddha on the sets. “I am so proud to see both the kids coming for their movie promotions. Their fathers used to bring them on the sets when they were kids and now I am amazed to see how Shraddha has turned out to be so beautiful. They are super talented and I wish all the best for their future,” he said.
 

Govinda and David Dhawan as a Jodi have given several comic blockbusters and are considered to be an all time great director-actor duo. The trailer of Varun and Shraddha starrer ABCD 2 was released to a very nice response yesterday. The film is directed by Remo D’Souza and would release On June 19.
