Nawazuddin Siddiqui: "I select films based on the length”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who stood in the industry with his contribution in films like Kahaani, Talaash and Gangs of Wasseypur, is ready to go for Hollywood flicks but with a condition that the role provided to him needs to be substantial in length. He also said that he would not be hopping into Hollywood just for the sake of it.

The39-year-old , who came to promote his upcoming filmsAnwar Ka Ajab Kissa and Mountain Man commented, "I would like to do a bigger role in Hollywood films...I hope I don`t get to play bit parts. Other actors who do Hollywood movies jump at the opportunity, but their roles turn out to be small. I would like roles which are not clichéd." He also commented, "I select films based on the length...not on the depth of the character because I believe I can bring out the depth in any character."

Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa, directed byBuddhadeb Dasgupta, will portrayNawazuddin as a detective while his character in Ketan Mehta’s Mountain Man is based on Manjhi's life. Manjhi's life has earlier been made public by Aamir Khan in his showSatyamev Jayate. Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa has made it to the London Film Festival. The actor thinks that film festivals are a great way to see other kinds of cinema. Siddiqui’s last flick Lunchbox however could not make it to the Oscars but won Critics Week Viewers Choice Award at Cannes Film Festival.
