NH10 pushed to early next year

Thriller film NH10 was expected to get released on September 12. However, latest buzz reveals that the film has been postponed till next year. Navdeep Singh-directed NH10 marks Anushka Sharma's first home-production. But, the actress already has two big releases this year. Hence, there would be too much of Anushka if this also hits the screen, feel the makers.

Anushka Sharma would be starring opposite Aamir Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K. and Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. While P.K. is a satire about Hindu Gods and godmen, Bombay Velvet is a romantic thriller revolving around the love story of Johnny and Rosie. Bombay Velvet is all set to hit screens on November 28 whereas, P.K. is supposed to get released on December 19. A source close to the production says, "Although the film is complete, the makers wanted a date which offered no competition. Moreover, Anushka as a co-producer felt that three films in a year would be a complete overkill." Director Navdeep Singh confirms, "We haven't locked a date yet, but yes, the film will be pushed ahead. The producers are looking for a clear window. This year there is a clutter of big films and we don't want to be overpowered by them. It's the marketing team's call, they want the film to have a good run." Vikramaditya Motwane, the other co-producer says "We will announce a release date soon."
