NH10’s fate still undecided, censor unable to take final call

Anushka Sharma’s debut production NH10 has already been hit with a week delay and the censors are yet not able to take a call on the film. The adult on content film was due for release on March 6th but was pushed ahead after the censor board couldn’t arrange a screening. It is being reported that the members are divided on the fate of the film.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, while a section of members have given the film a green signal with an ‘A’ certificate, certain members are being too conservative on passing the film on. It has to be highly condemnable members even considering the film shouldn’t be viewed at all. The final decision has now been left out to censor chief who as we know is the boss of ‘conservatives’.

Film’s director Navdeep Singh was reported as saying, “At the moment I'm really confused about what's happening. I don't know what they are objecting to or what cuts they are recommending. I finally got a date for the screening from them after two cancellations. As of now, we have not been informed of any decision but are hoping to hear from them tomorrow. As long as the integrity of the story, characters and setting is not compromised, I'm okay.” Well let’s hope the film sees a welcoming feat and is passed without diluting the real essence of the story.
