No more Raajneeti for Ranbir, Katrina stays for sequel

The film that virtually launched the love story of actor Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif may not feature them together in its sequel. We’re talking about Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti. According to reports, while the makers are gearing up to bring the sequel into process, Ranbir Kapoor may not be coming back for this one.

The original had ended with Ranbir being involved in bloodshed filled political experience, forcing him to leave the country and giving Katrina the helm of affairs. Director Prakash Jha is working to shape the script in a women centric film predominantly. Meanwhile, he is also working for the sequel of his cop drama Gangaajal, where he apparently makes his acting debut.

While there are no reports regarding the schedule of Raajneeti 2, the fans would certainly be hoping for the film to come soon. The original release in 2010 had an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee, Nana Patekar and Naseeruddin Shah.
