Not Kareena but Alia Bhatt to romance Shahid in Udta Punjab

News has been doing the rounds that former lovers Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor will be teaming up for Abhishek Chaubey's film Udta Punjab. However, latest reports reveal that though both the actors have been roped in the much-anticipated project, they will not be cast opposite each other. Instead, pretty actress Alia Bhatt will be seen romancing the actor.

Alia recently took to Twitter to announce her forthcoming venture. The Shaandaar actress tweeted, “New day, new journey, #UdtaPunjab prepping big time. Very nervous and excited about this one.. Cmon cmon give me all ur lovely wishes!! ;).“ This would reportedly be Alia’s second film opposite Shahid after Shaandaar.

Meanwhile, we hear that Fawad Khan who has been the new heartthrob for Indian girls and women, will romance Kareena Kapoor in the movie.
