OMG: Hrithik quotes 50 crores for Mohanjo Daro?

While he may have possibly acquired almost all cinematic credits to his name, superstar Hrithik Roshan is reportedly on his way to be the highest paid actor in the industry too. If the flying rumours are to be believed, the actor has supposedly asked for a whopping 50 crores for his next Mohanjo Daro.

Ashutosh Gowariker who directs and produces this one, is known to make high budgeted movies be it in the legacy of a Lagaan or a Jodha Akbar. But with Hrithik demanding a sum as heavy as a budget of any expensive film itself, he sure must be having something’s to work upon. However the confirmation doesn’t come along from the sources completely but it is said the actor has agreed on signing the project with the desired amount. Among actors who take alot of money home with a single project are all A-listers like Aamir Khan, SRK, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. With Hrithik demanding half a billion for the period drama, there are chances the boundaries would now push themselves. While the producers wouldn’t really be enjoying the scenario, the heavy returns are encouraging actors to quote high figures. Box office collections, distribution, sponsors, satellite rights etc are prominent ways for the makers to recover money and earn profits. There is no doubt about the fact that makers who are not hesitating to provide these actors the whopping amount are somewhere certain about their product earning returns.

It is interesting that even before the release of his next Bang Bang, Hrithik has quoted quite a figure. While this reflects his confidence over the film doing good, he also must make sure of not getting carried away already. As for Ashutosh, we’d like him to focus on his project not just financially but also creatively. He has it, of course we know that!
