Parineeti Chopra: My Career Has Not Taken a Backseat

Parineeti Chopra’s last two releases Kill Dil and Daawat-e-Ishq has failed at the box office. Even her film under Dharma Production banner Hasee Toh Phasee did an average business. Neither the actress has done any film after Kill Dil, nor does she have any projects lined up.

When the Ladies vs Ricky Bahl star was asked if she has taken a break from the industry, the actress told Hindustan Times, “That’s not true. I don’t know why people say that. I did back-to-back films, and I was constantly working. Now, I’ve bought a house and I have been busy doing it up. I don’t know where the last five months have gone”.

The Ishaqzaade actress continues, “As a matter of fact, everybody suddenly feels that I’m not there. May be I didn’t go to enough press events. But that doesn’t mean that my career has taken a backseat. I think people are reading too much into it”.
