The magic that Madhavan-Kangana starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns is creating at the domestic box office arena is not just confined to the Indian boundaries. The film has been equally impressive in the overseas arena too.

The Anand L. Rai directorial that largely played to the gallery of north Indians, surprisingly made a very impressive opening in overseas as well. The film in fact had a better opening than Piku in key markets which has so far been the biggest grosser of the year in overseas. The film was very solid in its collections in UK and US and the positive word of mouth will push it perform even better in the coming days.

On the other hand, already announced as a super hit of the year, Shoojit Sircar’s Piku is still going strong here in India despite Tanu Weds Manu Returns being the front runner. The Deepika Padukone starrer garnered around 7 crores in third weekend taking its tally rise up to over 70 crores.
