PK is rocking overseas, touches 50 crores in 4 days

The Aamir Khan starrer PK has not only been performing exceptionally well in the domestic arena but the overseas collections have chirped in as a major boost too. The film in fact at the worldwide box office has broken into the top 5, despite Hollywood biggies like The Hobbit, Night at a Museum, Penguins of Madagascar and a few more. Now that’s something to boast about for the producers of PK.

The film has almost touched the 50 crore mark in key international markets and is comfortably looking at setting records. If North America box office is taken out of consideration, then the Raju Hirani venture is at number 3 at the international box office. The film collected 21 crores in US, 3 crores in Canada, 10 crores in UAE and 7 crores in Canada. Other markets like Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia have also contributed well. With so much going in the film’s favour, it has a chance to even emerge as the highest box office grosser in the overseas.

Aamir Khan has certainly come up as the new favourite in the international market. While Dhoom 3 is the highest earning overseas Indian film, the next best is his 3 Idoits. With PK slowly climbing the chart up, the top three positions are not in contention for anyone else but Aamir. The Perfectionist Khan is only looking to set records.
