Porkodi Shares Her Entry In Film Industry

Film industry is an area filled with uncertainties where one can easily find a number of stars who have never thought of becoming an actor. One of them is theatre artiste-turned-actress Parkodi. The actress recently spoke out about her journey and transition in her life.

Parkodi recently said that becoming an actress is something she had never anticipated. She had started her career in theatre with Medai -the Theatre Group, which she co-founded with her friend. She revealed that it was a short film she did after her friend persuaded her, that changed the direction of her life.

She said, " The short film received good response and I started getting offers for films, too. I have done 30 plays, 15 movies and short films till date. However, like most of the artistes, I, too, place theatre close to my heart. It gives more scope to expand our talent. Moreover, I have had not-so-good experiences while working in cinema. But I had a good time working in some of the big projects." The lady is currently busy with three plays and her upcoming films are Pyaar Prema Kaadhal and Tik Tik Tik.
