Prachi’s character in Rock On 2 isn’t dying

After Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor turned down an offer to play the lead in Rock On 2, sequel to the 2008 hit Rock On, it was being speculated if Prachi Desai has a role in the film at all. A leading daily in fact speculated that Prachi Desai’s character in the film will die which will then give way for other actresses to come in.

Reacting to such news articles, producer Ritesh Sidhwani came out on Twitter and wrote, “Mumbai Mirror is Now attempting to screenplay writing for #RockOn2. Sadly your version does not make it in this screenplay. #RockOn2 Prachi Desai plays an important part & it's not a special appearance.” Prachi had played the role of Farhan’s wife which was also her debut on the big screen. While the original was directed by Abhishek Kapoor, this one will be helmed by some other director. The film is expected to go on the floors soon.
