    Taking her love for animals to another level, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has adopted a lioness at Ranchi's Birsa Munda zoo for one year. The star had also adopted a tigress named Durga at the same zoo last year. Under a programme launched by the zoo official, the junglee billi of Don 2 fame has paid Rs 200,000 for the upkeep of lioness Sundari. "We have received a cheque of Rs.200,000 from Priyanka Chopra foundation. She has adopted lioness Sundari," a zoo official said on Saturday. The official said that the contract will last till April 30, 2013, whereas the contract of Durgas adoption ended on April 30 this year. The Ranchi zoo had introduced the adoption scheme last year according to which one can adopt any animal for a period of one year to 11 years and pay for their upkeep and to create awareness about wildlife.
