Priyanka Chopra wants her Marathi diction trainer by her side while dubbing

Priyanka Chopra, who is essaying the role of a Marathi girl in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama, is making sure she portrays the character convincingly. To achieve this, the actor has been taking Marathi lessons, and now wants her teacher to be present during the dubbing of the film as well. A source close to the actor reveals, “The trainer is present on the sets whenever she is shooting.

But she also wants to be confident with the language while dubbing for the film. So, she has asked the makers if the teacher can be present during those sessions.”

Priyanka’s training was a bit intermittent because she was shuttling between India and the US for her other projects. She was also shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s film on a cruise for a long time. However, according to the source, the actor still managed to get a considerable grip on the language.

“Sanjay has also approved her request,” adds the source. While Priyanka remained unavailable for a comment, her spokesperson confirmed the news, and said, “Priyanka is known for getting under the skin of the characters she portrays. So, she is taking extra care to do justice to this role as well.”
