Priyanka’s deal with ABC pushes Madhur Bhandarkar’s wait further

Priyanka Chopra has been keeping the director in waiting who won her the best actress national award. After giving her consent to Madhur Bhandarkar’s political drama ‘Madamji’, the actress got extremely busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and now her fresh deal with the American network ABC has again put the film on hold.

According to reports, the film will now hit the floors in April next year while it was earlier planned to move to production in November itself. Madamji is a social drama where an ‘item girl’s journey to a political discourse is showcased. After collaborating with Madhur in the successful film Fashion, Priyanka happily gave her nod to this project but the continued delays must be giving the director a hard time. As soon as Priyanka gets over with Bajirao Mastani, her American deal will take her away for quite some time, hence the delay looks unavoidable.

Madhur on the other hand has made it clear that he will shoot the film in a prolonged fashion hence the wait is accepted. Well, as tough as it looks for him, let’s give him some more time to work better during pre-production now that her actress isn’t available.
