Murugadoss comments, “I don’t like to watch my own films being remade by others (directors). There is some kind of fear when I see others doing (directing) my films. When I see the changes, I feel bad. So I don’t want to watch remakes of my films.” However, Murugadoss likes Hindi movies much. He was pleased to see films like Vicky Donor, Barfi and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. Murugadoss’s present production Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles and Govinda in a supporting role. This film is a remake of his 2012 Tamil blockbuster Thuppakki.
