Rajkumar Hirani: ‘Madhavan is one of the most wonderful actors we have’

Many have praised Kangana Ranaut in Tanu Weds Manu Returns but only a few have complimented R. Madhavan. Those who did compared his performance with that of the Queen. Rajkumar Hirani, who has worked with Madhavan in 3 Idiots said that Madhavan is one of the underrated actors in Bollywood.

Rajkumar Hirani praised the Tanu Weds Manu Returns actor, saying, “Madhavan is one of the most wonderful actors we have. I am happy that he is getting his share of praise. To match up the performance of a fabulous actor like Kangana (Ranaut), in a role that had to be so subdued, it is highly commendable”.

In an interview, Madhavan said that he doesn’t mind being overshadowed by the Fashion actress. “Of course I will be overshadowed by her. It is bound to happen more so because of my absence but I don’t mind that. I am confident about impressing the audience with my performance”, he said. Currently, the Anand L. Rai directorial is creating its magic on the box office and is racing its way to Rs. 100 crore club.
