Rajkummar Rao-Shruti Hasaan Starrer Behen Hogi Teri To Release on June 2

Rajkummar Rao has been a part of several critically acclaimed films. He has films like Aligarh, Trapped, CityLights, Shahid, etc in his credit. The actor has been appreciated by critics as well as by audience for his brilliant performance in his movies.

And now the actor is all set to beguile his fans in his upcoming movie, Behen Hogi Teri, in which he will be seen playing the role of Lord Shiva. The movie also stars Shruti Haasan in the lead. The flick is extensively shot in Lucknow.

Talking about the movie, Shaitan actor said, "This is probably my first solo lead rom-com. But, just because it belongs to that genre, doesn’t mean the efforts are not there. It is not that I am doing anything less. There are preparations, training, I am emotionally as involved as I am for any other film. “But yes, ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ is not a typical Bollywood potboiler or romantic-comedy. It is a very relatable, human film with a lot of interesting moments."

When asked about his character in the movie, Rajkummar explains, “My character is madly in love with her, but since he is from the same ‘mohalla’, they are neighbours, everybody thinks that ‘mohalley kay log bhai-behen he hai, ye toh ghar ki baat hai’. But in his heart and mind, he knows she can’t be his sister. That’s how the title comes."

The shooting of the movie is over and now the filmmakers are busy with the post-production work. The makers have even finalised the release date of the movie. The flick is expected to hit the theatres on June 2, this year.
