Ram Gopal Varma recreates Taj Mahal Palace for next film

As he failed to clinch an approval to shoot at the Taj Mahal Palace for his ambitious film based on the 26/11 terror attacks, controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has now recreated the entire lobby of the Colaba hotel. Earlier he was also granted only very limited access to the CST railway station to shoot. According to sources, the authorities were not willing to revisit the unfortunate incident, even through a film, and thus they denied the permission. The source said, "Ram Gopal Varma was a bit disappointed over not being given complete permission to shoot at CST or at the Colaba hotel. After shooting some sequences at CST, he will shoot the rest of the gory and firing scenes on another set." Now Varma has also recreated the entire lobby of the Colaba hotel at another suburban hotel in Juhu. The entire set has been created by art director Uday Singh on the expense of Rs 2.5 crore.
