Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is back again with a passionate love story blended with violence in Ram Leela starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The first trailer of the film shows a thrilling chemistry between Ranveer and Deepika defying all the gun fires and fights and in several sequences it reminds us of Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
In the film, also produced by Bhansali, Ranveer is a womanizer, Ram and Deepika is a bold Gujarati girl, Leela. The film is said to be a desi version of Shakespeare`s eternal tale of love, Romeo and Juliet, with the tagline, 'Love is at War'. Set in rural Gujarat, the romantic drama has an ensemble cast including Richa Chadda, Shweta Salve, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Sharad Kelkar, Supriya Pathak, Gulshan Devaiah and Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh.
Ranveer is banking on his sizzling on-screen chemistry with Deepika for the success of his upcoming film. He told reporters, "I believe Deepika and I were destined to do this film. It is a love story like Romeo and Juliet and it forms the core of the film. I think chemistry is the driving force of the film. I hope it works.” He added, "I have given a lot for this film... worked really hard. I am thrilled to be doing a film with Sanjay Bhansali.” The movie will hit the cinemas on November 15.
