Ranbir Kapoor rubbishes rumours says he is not getting engaged

Bollywood’s hottie Ranbir was up for engagement with girlfriend Katrina Kaif on his birthday, according to rumours but now the actor has denied to any such news and comments that there is no authenticity in it. He cleared the hovering buzz saying, "There was a report that I am getting engaged on my birthday and there is no truth in it... I am not getting engaged or married."

The30-year-old while promoting his upcoming filmBesharam spoke, “When I was new in the industry I spoke openly about my relationship. I feel when you do this the spotlight is more on personal life than work. I want to protect my life. I don't want my life to become a reality show.” He continued his statement saying, "I am single till I get married, I think I believe in that saying. I am going very strong with this movie ('Besharam'), I am very excited about it. That is the only excitement I have in my life right now."

Ranbir gives priority to his work and says that he is in the industry to sell movies. The actor later shifted attention to his forthcoming film saying that his mother Neetu Kapoor is a surprise package. He adds, "He (Rishi Kapoor) comes from certain school of thoughts and wants me to do those kind of films. I want to challenge myself as an actor and play different characters. I am whatever today because of the kind of roles I have played till now. It (character in 'Besharam') is over the top character.” Besharam stars Pallavi Sharda opposite Ranbir and is an Abhinav Kashyap directorial.
