Ranveer Singh Shaves Off His Beard And Moustache Live On Instagram

The shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhasali’s Padmavati is going on in full swing. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead. Unlike their other films, such as Ram Leela and Bajorao Mastani, which starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika together, this film will not see the real life couple paired opposite each other.

While Deepika would be playing Shahid’s wife, Aditi would play the wife of Shahid Kapoor. Deepika would be essaying the character of queen Padmavati, whereas Ranveer would play Alauddin Khijli. Like every actor who go to great lengths for their role as per the demand of script, Ranveer to did the same.

He grew his beard for his role of Alauddin Khijli in the movie. Recently, he made a special announcement regarding Padmavati which caused a stir among people. The actor went live on Instagram and unwillingly shaved off his beard and pointed moustache that he had grown for his character.

The actor revealed that he had shot for the part where he had look a little old and would begin shooting for the younger version of Alauddin which required him to get rid of his beard and moustache. He also recalled the moment when he had grown beard and moustache for Bajirao Mastani which was chopped off by Deepika Padukone. While Deepika liked his look without beard and moustache, Ranveer felt unhappy. Aww!! Now that’s what we call a true lover who values his lover’s happiness more than his.
