Richa Chadda to act in satirical short film

Richa Chadda will be seen acting in a satirical short film, which is based upon the expectations of a layman from a Bollywood actress. The Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! actress, along with Varun Grover and Mrigdeep Singh Lamba have written a spoof on the life of a Hindi film actress. The short satirical film will be helmed by Fukrey directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba. The film will begin shooting next month.
 

The 26-year-old actress said that she had the idea for the film well before Alia Bhatt’s video, ‘Genius of the Year’ made by AIB, went viral on YouTube. "An actress meets a lot of people whose only job is to dole out advice. They tell you to do item numbers, dance at weddings and sign up for the 'right' kind of endorsements”, she told Mumbai Mirror. The actress also hopes to rope in Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin for the project. She said, “I'm sure that once they read the script, they'll be on board”.

When asked about what to expect from the short film, Richa told Mumbai Mirror, “It's a tongue-in-cheek take on what people think an actress does--from dating producers to attending rave parties. The layman's fantasies can sometimes shock you". Richa Chadda, who has just finished working on Three Stories, will soon begin working on Pooja Bhatt’s Cabaret.
