Richa Chadda Tells Why She Decided To Star In ‘Cabaret’

Richa Chadda is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Cabaret’. The film has garnered lot of attention in the recent past and its teaser made the moviegoers excited about the film. The actress will be playing a simple farmer’s wife in the former half while in the latter, she will essay the role of a cabaret dancer.

Talking about why she chose to star in the Kaustav Narayan Niyogi directorial, Richa said, "I just love to dance and 'Cabaret' seemed like an opportunity where I could explore that. I wanted to take a chance and see if people will accept me in this kind of role, if what is expected of other women is expected of me. Or maybe it's for shock value".

The romantic thriller flick has been jointly produced by Pooja Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar under Fisheye Network private limited banner. It will also feature Gulshan Devaiah and cricketer S. Sreesanth. ‘Cabaret’ will hit the theatre screens on May 27.
