Richa prepares for role in Sudhir Mishra's Devdas

Actor Richa Chadda, who will be playing the role of Paro in Sudhir Mishra’s version of Devdas, has left no stone unturned to perfect her portrayal. Several versions of Devdas already exist and the filmmaker wants his version to be a contemporary take. Richa has been burning the midnight oil to make sure the film is a success.

“Richa is very excited to portray the role of Paro. She wants to do it perfectly. After so many versions, Richa is determined that this version be perfect,” says a source.

The 26-year-old has already seen eight versions of the film to understand the depths of her role. “Essaying a role of a timeless character like Paro is a great responsibility. I had only seen the two Hindi adaptations till date but when I did my homework for Sudhir sir’s film, I felt it was a great chance to study all the movies. I have done my best by adding newness to my character,” says Richa.
