Riteish Deshmukh is all set to hit the screens with Ravi Jadhav’s ‘Banjo’. Scheduled for release on September 23, the movie is witnessing comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor’s musical romantic drama ‘Rockstar' (2011) ever since its first look was out. Recently, during an event which marked the trailer launch of Riteish’s movie, the Dhamaal actor put forth his views on the long going judgments being made on his flick.

It seems like Riteish just couldn’t take any more of comparison. “I am a big Ranbir Kapoor fan, but the comparison of two films is not fair”, the Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya actor stated, adding, “Rockstar is a totally different film. Yes, it's a musical film, but this is really different".

The movie stars Nargis Fakhri as the female lead. It is touted that Riteish will play the character of a Banjo player and the Housefull 3 actress will portray the role of a DJ in the film. The story is penned by Kapil Sawant, Nikhil Meharotra and Ravi Jadhav.
