Sasural Simar Ka To Go Off Air; Here's What Rohan Mehra Plans To Do After
TV actor Rohan Mehra is very much upset over wrapping up of his show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, which gets telecast on Colors. The family series, which had been running for more than six years now, is all set to go off air on September 19. The actor recently joined the show where he played the role, Sameer Kapoor.
However, taking about his next steps in an interview the actor said, “I would love to do a new show next time around, as I have thrice entered already running shows — ‘Bade Achhe Laggte Hain’, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. While all three have been successful, I feel that the experience of associating with a show right since its inception is different and I would love to experience it”.
‘Sasural Simar Ka’ is based on the life stories of two sisters. The roles of the sisters at the very beginning was played by Dipika Kakar (Simar) and Avika Gor (Roli). During these six years, the serial went through a lot of transitions. Shoaib Ibrahim, who was seen acting as Prem, left the TV show in two years, later Avika Gor and Manish Raisinghan followed. Shockingly, actress Dipika Kakar also quit the show. Later Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar was taken in to portray the role of Simar, the lead character of the show.
