Rohit Shetty Signs Whopping Rs. 25 crores Deal

Rohit Shetty might have faced a tough time making his way in Bollywood but the director in no time has established himself here and has made a mark as a brand in the industry; that now he is being offered big money for big projects. Producer Sangeeta Ahir has reportedly roped in the Golmaal director for her next project, which is a remake of Tamil movie ‘Soodhu Kavvum’. Rohit Shetty has signed the film for a whopping Rs. 25 crore amount, which is apparently the highest sum being paid to a Bollywood director.

Confirming the same, Sangeeta Ahir told DNA, “Yes, we have paid Rohit an exorbitant price. It’s the highest fee given to any director, but then it works as Rohit Shetty is a huge brand in himself. It’s a comedy film and his forte, so people want to see it”.

She continued, “Right now, it is still in the scripting stage. We haven’t approached any actor as yet. I am waiting for Rohit to return from Hyderabad where he’s shooting for Dilwale and then we will finalise everything”.
