    Ronnie Screwvala Casts Vicky Kaushal For His Next Film On Uri Attack

    Producer Ronnie Screwvala is coming up with a movie which is based on Indian Army’s surgical strikes across the (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The film titled Uri will be produced by Ronnie’s production banner RSVP. And to play the lead role, the filmmaker has roped in actor Vicky Kaushal . Aditya Dhar will be at the helm of affairs for the project.



    Vicky will play the role of a Commander-in-Chief who led the surgical strike. He also led the group of paratroopers post the Uri attack. To bring authenticity to his role, the Raman Raghav 2.0 actor will be undergoing paramilitary training for a month to gain some weight before the film starts rolling. The actor is very excited to be a part of the film as he believes that this will be toughest role, both physically and mentally, that he would be playing.



    Speaking about the film, Vicky said, “When this film came to me and we had this discussion. I was really thrilled and kicked about it because this is one story that I feel that everyone needs to know. It is one of the most fantastic army operations that the Indian army has conducted and with great efficiency. I also feel it is a great opportunity and also a responsibility for all of us to portray this story.”



    The makers will start shooting for flick once Kaushal wraps up Meghna Gulazar’s Raazi in which he will play Alia Bhatt ’s husband.
