Royal Style for Deepika Padukone in Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani’s costume designer, Anju Modi, has revealed that Deepika Padukone will sport a royal style in this film. Anju stated, "Deepika will be seen dressed in royal style, plus she is playing a Muslim character in the film, so we have tried to give her sharara and kurtis”. The designer divulged other details of the film as well.

Modi added, “Bajirao Mastani is a period movie... So, we have kept old Mughal style Angarkha and Maharasthrian style Navwari saris as it's a story about the Maratha Peshwas”. Bajirao Mastani is a historical romance film which is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This movie is based on Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao which will be played by Ranveer Singh.

Anju was at the Aza store in Mumbai when she gave the details about Deepika’s look in the film. Notably, this designer has previously designed costumes for Deepika starrer Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. This flick is slated for release on December 4.
