    Saif Ali Khan Roped In For Hindi Remake Of Jon Favreau’s ‘Chef’

    Saif Ali Khan, who is apparently fond of cooking will soon showcase his culinary skills on the big screen as the Nawab has been roped in to play the lead role in the official Hindi remake of Jon Favreau’s ‘Chef’. The story of the Hollywood flick is a story about a renowned chef who loses his job and thereafter starts a food truck. The original film had released in 2014.

    Jon Favreau, who had written-produced the original flick and also starred as main lead, said in a statement, “I'm delighted to see 'Chef' get an Indian remake. I'm excited to see how this personal film translates to the Indian culture. The themes of food, music and family should resonate well”.

    The Indian version of the film will be produced by Abundantia Entertainment, Eros International and Alumbra Entertainment. “Ever since I first saw Chef, I knew that this film had to be made in India. Charming relationships, a feel-good story and a unique journey of self-discovery make Chef the ideal film to bring alive in an Indian context. I'm also delighted that one of the finest actors in our country, Saif Ali Khan, will helm the title role in the Hindi version”, said Vikram Malhotra, the founder of Abundantia Entertainment.
