Saif, Shahid and now Fawad! Why Reema Kagti isn’t able to find her ‘Mr. Chaalu’?

It has to be on record that Saif Ali Khan will not be a part of Reema Kagti’s Mr. Chaalu. While he was the preferred choice of makers and even the actor had given his consent for the role, he later opted out following some career introspection and choices he thought shouldn’t be made. But Reema’s sole trouble lies is in the fact that she isn’t being able to get a stand out choice on board.

While we had earlier reported about Shahid Kapoor replacing Saif in Kagti’s project, it is being wondered if his tight schedule would let him play the Casanova character, hence the hunt for Mr. Chaalu would go on. The film in fact is pretty close to being taken to the floors but the principle cast is far from done.

The latest entrant to the list is Fawad Khan who the makers have reportedly approached and may even get him to be on board. If he does sign up, this would be a character completely against his set image. Film’s protagonist will be a Casanova who happens to fall against the concept of commitment. Whether Fawad would fit in the role would be something to look up to. The film will be made under Excel Entertainment and is expected to go on floors by August.
