The exhilaration has been quite high ever since Vishal Bhardwaj signed on Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor for his next project. While we have been guessing what subject the film is based on, Vishal has confirmed it is not a Shakespearean adaptation.

At a grand event in Mumbai celebrating 400 hundred years of Shakespeare, Vishal was quipped about his next project. While he refrained from divulging any details and asked to focus on event, he did mention the film wasn’t based on Shakespearean play King Lear. He was also accompanied by filmmaker Vikas Bahl and Ritesh Batra at the event.

Vishal is one filmmaker who likes adapting the Shakespeare plays into cinematic modules. From Maqbool to Omkara to Haider, he has adapted all the scripts wonderfully. Let’s see what he comes up with next as he has an interesting cast in the fray.
