Mumbai -- Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi fame music director duo Salim-Sulaiman has planned to play old songs in a contemporary manner at their upcoming international concert -- The Bollywood Musical. The show, a Saregama initiative, will be organized in October at many historical venues across the country. In the show, famous songs like Lata Mangeshkar's Lag jaa gale and Rahul Dev Burman's Tere bina zindagi will be played in a new manner. "The show will bring old songs and represent in a big concert with a live orchestra, but in a contemporary way with bass player, drummer, keyboard and guitarists. We will give it a newer look. The way they used to produce old songs with a live orchestra, we are going to do this live on stage and bring all these amazing songs to you," Salim Merchant said. "We have been planning it from the last two years. The level of the show is very high. There is lot of costs and planning involved, so that this project reaches a level where it can be called an international show. We took around one and a half years to plan. We will take 3-4 months more to plan the intricate things which actually make the show successful," Sulaiman said.
