There are no reasons really to not like Ek Tha Tiger! A high octane action romantic drama that was largely touted to be inspired from the life a popular Indian spy, the film broke the shackles that Salman cannot be a part of content driven cinema. The film had enough elements to bring itself up as a decent watch and made sure the audiences stayed engaged throughout.

9. Dabangg

The film that holds credit to establish Salman as an invincible entity in modern cinema is Dabangg! From his characteristic styles to his Chulbul Robinhood Pandey flavor, the film brought back the essence of bad vs good and took us through two hours of complete entertainment. The dance moves, the dialogues, the get-up, there’s nothing about Dabangg that isn’t iconic.

8. Judwaa

This came at a time when Salman wasn’t particularly keen on doing comedies and yet this collaboration of his with David Dhawan gave us a perfect rib-tickler to savor. 7. Wanted

The epic reviver of fading Salmania in 2009 is what this action-masala film is. Though a carbon copy remake of Telugu hit Pokhiri, Wanted was a refreshing change for Hindi audiences who probably got tired of fresh but mediocre products. Wanted is also largely responsible in having Salman realize his core fan base and making essential alterations in his movie picks.

6. Karan Arjun

One of the biggest hits of the 90’s, Karan Arjun is one film that never goes without a watch if it’s playing on TV. Sharing screen with SRK for the first time, the reincarnated action drama was a pretty impact making film directed by Rakesh Roshan. While it lingered on all essential elements of a compelling masala watch, its experiment with a new idea paid off larger dividends.

Directed by Sohail Khan, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya was iconic in style, entertaining in narrative and delightful to its core. One of the most endearing films to have been credited to Bhai’s filmography, Bajrangi Bhaijaan isn’t just a blockbuster by status, but also with its heart. This was for once in the last seven years that Salman let go of his macho image and played a lovable nice guy with a pure heart. Possibly the film that had him deliver his best performance to date, Tere Naam came at a time when Salman was going through a career turmoil. However, the heart breaking love story reestablished himself as an ‘actor’. Tere Naam was as much an entertaining ride in the first half as heart breaking and emotional it was in the second. While his looks set a complete rampage of following across the country, the bad boy imagery of his became a guilty fascination of a lot of guys. The only Salman Khan film that perhaps has a crazy cult following along its name, Andaz Apna Apna is one of the best comedies that India has produced. As Amar and Prem, both Aamir and Salman together were hilarious to the core with a cartoon like appeal attached. The film also makes solid grounds to make Aman-Prem one of the most loved duos of Indian cinema ever. The gags, the jokes and the sequences Rajkumar Santoshi spread in the narrative were only suggestive of the fact that Andaz Apna Apna was a comedy of epic proportions. If there’s one Salman film that will unanimously get a standing ovation from all sections of the audience, Andaz Apna Apna would just chart up the scale.

A Salman Khan film is not measured on the count of the substance it carries but the money it makes. However, that should never come in the way of us realizing that there are enough films Salman has done to warrant enough entertainment through his life.
