Here are some instances which proved that Salman Khan is bigger than any film or star in the country. 

1. His appearance in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani where Ranbir's character lies to Katrina that Sallu is his best friend speaks volumes about his popularity, on and off screen. This scene was one of the most talked about cameos of its time. 

2. Jolly LL.B 2 Trailer - It begins with Akshay interrogating a man in the witness box about when will Salman get married. The fact that an otherwise already successful film franchise had to take Salman's name to sell it despite the presence of Akshay who is a big star, is proof enough of Bhai's power.

3. He launched Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi under his banner Salman Khan Film Productions and promoted the movie like nobody's business. Despite the weak performances and average reviews, Hero became a big movie because of Brand Salman Khan. To further build momentum for the film, he sang a chartbuster song Main Hoon Hero Tera in his own voice, which was bigger than any song in the film. 

4. Recently, the latest proof of his insane popularity is Katrina and Anushka's Koffee With Karan episode teaser. The mere mention of Salman Khan in the teaser with a question around what would he be called if he was a dish has taken over the internet like a storm. We aren't surprised. 

5. It was a sight to see when Salman promoted Raees with Sultan by releasing the first look of the movie, putting a stamp over his friendship with SRK, that there's no one like them. He called himself Raees ke Sultan, which was a part of the most intelligent film marketing strategy ever! It proved that SRK and Salman together are a deadly brand. Salman had also promoted Dilwale during 2015 when he called himself Prem Dilwala and SRK Raj Dilwale to cross promote each other's movies. 

6. He's now all set to launch his app like Sonam Kapoor and all we're wondering is how prepared are the engineers to avoid the app from crashing, thanks to Salman's insance fan following.
