Salman Khan seeks Bombay High Court’s permission for Dubai

It has been almost two weeks since Salman Khan was convicted in the 2002 hit-and-run accident case. On May 20, the Dabangg star moved to Bombay High Court seeking permission to travel to Dubai for a show later this month. A vacation bench of the high court is likely to hear the matter next week.

On May 8, Bombay High Court granted him bail and suspended his sentence pending the hearing and disposal of his appeal against the conviction. The high court had also said that the actor would need to seek the court's permission every time he wants to leave the country. The superstar wasted no time in getting back to work following the suspension of his recently announced five-year jail term.

Salman will join a line-up of top actors, who are scheduled to perform at the Arab Indo Bollywood Awards. Priyanka Chopra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Parineethi Chopra, Neha Dhupia and Kanika Kapoor are among the 150 celebrities who will meet and greet fans at the event. This first edition of the award function aims at promoting Bollywood in the Arab countries.
