Ever since the trailer of Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan has released, child actress Harshali Malhotra is in the limelight. It is said that the six-year-old Harshali was selected after auditioning 500 girls, but she wasn’t the first choice of the Kick star. Kabir Khan recently revealed that Salman wanted to cast the director’s daughter as Munni in the film.

On being asked if he ever considered her daughter for the character, Kabir Khan told DNA, “Honestly I did. In fact, Salman was very keen that I cast her. He is very close to my kids Saira and Vivaan and he felt that Saira, who is also six years old would be the perfect Munni. However, I wanted to go through the entire exercise and cast a girl who is 100 per cent correct”.

The director continued, “Saira was my safety net. Now, Saira and Harshali are very good friends and she wants to see Bajrangi Bhaijaan for her friend and not because it’s her father’s film!”. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is all set to hit the theatres on Eid i.e. July 17.
