Tubelight To Have 'Short' Run Time

Bollywood movies have an age old trend of having long durations. It seems that the upcoming flick ‘Tubelight’ will be the first big budget movie to end this trend. The post-production of the movie has been completed.

The duration of the movie has been cropped by 14 minutes. Now, the run time of the movie is two hours and 16 minutes. A close source was recently quoted as saying, “Kabir Khan’s films are usually lengthier than the stipulated two hours that the multiplex-viewing audience favours. His last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan was nearly three hours long, and worked just fine. Tubelight was edited and readied at a run time of two hours and 35 minutes. But the team decided to slash the film by 14 more minutes just a week before its release”.

This movie will be Salman Khan’s one of the shortest movies. The actor’s last release Sultan was two hours, 50 minutes long. His previous releases, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is two hours, 43 minutes long and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was approximately three hours long.
