    In a unique promotional stunt, makers of gangster sagaShootout at Wadalahave created a real gang war scene at a suburban mall, sources said. At the event, where director Sanjay Gupta unveiled the promo of the much-awaited film, a group of men armed with tubelights, rods and hockey sticks faked an attack on another group which arrived in a jeep. The second group also enacted a scene of firing back at the first group, not only this Bollywood hunk John Abraham, who played the character of gangster Manya Surve in the film, also participated in the drama. When he started walking towards the venue of the event, a car ahead of him was blown up and he seemed to be walking the path of fire. Talking about the film, John said, it is a 'career-defining' film which has inspired him to work harder.

    The trailer of the film, which has been produced by Ekta Kapoor, has been launched in the five cities simultaneously by lead actors of the film – Anil Kapoor in Delhi, Manoj Bajpai in Lucknow, Tusshar Kapoor in Ahmedabad and Sonu Sood in Hyderabad – and the faked action sequence was created at all these venues.
