Brands are known to rope in big superstars to endorse their products since they have a greater mass appeal. Many people tend to buy products which celebrities endorse thinking that they also use the same product when in fact they have nothing to do with the product. During the controversy regarding Maggi noodles, actress Madhuri Dixit was sent a legal notice for endorsing it.

Now another actor to face a brunt in similar case is none other than Shah Rukh Khan for endorsing a shaving cream. A few days ago, a resident of Bhopal filed a case against SRK after he developed rashes on his face from using a shaving cream which the actor endorses. However, SRK’s spokesperson has rubbished all the reports stating that the actor has nothing to do with the product as his association with the brand ended way back in 2016.

The statement read, “First and foremost, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan is currently not the ambassador of the said brand. The contract between the shaving cream brand and Mr. Khan terminated in April 2016. Also, we have not received any notice so far.”

The consumer took the case to the city’s consumer court accusing Shah Rukh for deceiving people. He said that he had to visit a government hospital for his treatment. Hearing the complainant’s plea, magistrate, Kashinath Singh sent out legal notices to Shah Rukh Khan, the company who made the product, a local shopkeeper and the director of Madhya Pradesh Food and Drugs Department.
