Shah Rukh Khan has been low-key since the promotions of his film, Jab Harry Met Sejal, ended and the film failed to win over the audience. But on August 15, we saw SRK again as he visited thespian Dilip Kumar who has recently returned home after spending a few days in the hospital due to a kidney infection. Taking to Twitter, Kumar’s wife Saira Banu wrote that he was visited by his “mooh-bola beta” Shah Rukh today.

Taking to Twitter, Saira Banu wrote, “Message from Saira Banu: Sahab’s mooh-bola beta-“son” @iamsrk visited Sahab today. Sharing some photos of the evening.” She also said that Kumar has been doing much better since his return from the hospital. “2/ @iamsrk visited Sahab this evening. Sahab’s doing much better since return from the hospital. Shukar Allah.”

The 94-year-old actor was in the hospital for a week due to dehydration, kidney dysfunction and urinary tract infection. He was discharged on August 9.

Shah Rukh considers the Naya Daur actor his idol and has even said he once used to once mimic his style. Speaking about the actor, SRK had said earlier, “He is the forefather, the pillar of the film industry... Amongst the last few pillars left. I think what he has received is huge... No matter how many awards he gets, it will be less for him because of his art, beauty, Saira ji’s support. He is one of the greatest human beings apart from being the actor. I know them personally so I can say that.”

In a career spanning over six decades, Kumar starred in films like Andaz, Aan, Devdas and the historical Mughal-e-Azam. Called as the ‘tragedy king of Bollywood’, he also did films like Kranti, Shakti, Karma and Saudagar. His last film was Qila in 1998.
