Shah Rukh Says He Can’t Do A Sultan Or A Dangal And Here’s Why We Agree With Him

At the Eid press conference that Shah Rukh Khan had at his residence yesterday, there was this special angle he derived. The actor said he’s not too comfortable wrestling it out and he prefers being a romantic hero. Here’s what the actor quoted, “Let Aamir and Salman handle wrestling. Two of them are enough to handle wrestling. Above all I don't look like a wrestler from any angle. I am a romantic hero and I don't know wrestling." There’s enough here that’s hard to gulp down your throat since the actor has always made sure to assert the fact that he wants to be known as an action hero rather a romantic. We know he hasn’t done enough to warrant this wish of his but still, we agree with him.

Let’s admit, picturing SRK wear a wrestling langot isn’t the best of sights we’d like to imagine him in. Neither does he have the heart to play the father of three grown up girls with shading grey hair. He’s best liked doing this: his signature step!

You’ve Made Six Packs For All The Wrong Reasons

The only two occasions SRK has been building 6 and 8 packs have been in Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year respectively.  Bodybuilding and workout for him is considered glamour. Why do we expect him to bring them in use for the right reasons? Even the shirt you take off gets breezily ripped highlighting the romantically made abs!

Even When He Fights, It’s Not A Fight

In the last 10 years that we’ve seen him fight on screen, all have appeared to be too fabricated. He’s either fought with brains in Don and Don 2 or has used graphics and cables to settle it out. When was the last time we saw him do the Baazigar kind of action?

Engagement Ring is What Suits Him More than Wrestling Ring

It’s easier to picture Salman or Aamir taking it out in the wrestling ring than SRK. We haven’t seen him play a wrestler or a boxer ever. We feel the concept of proposing a girl with a ring is better suited to him than entering a wrestling ring.

He’s Played Every Sport Other Than Wrestling/Boxing

We’ve seen him play Cricket in Chamatkar, Hockey in Chak De, Football in KANK, Basketball in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Golf in Don, but have we ever seen him enter the competitive ring and face an opponent? Yes, once in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi but what joke was he cracking there with the Sumo wrestler? Maybe he only enjoys sport that gives him an opportunity to go and enjoy out there in the field!
