Shah Rukhs Ra.One animator undergoes successful spine surgery

Mumbai -- The spine surgery of animator Charu Khandal, who has recently won a National Award for creating special effects in Shah Rukh Khans Ra.One, was confirmed successful by close sources. Charu, who was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani hospital in a serious condition after a severe road accident on March 25, was operated on Thursday by neurosurgeon Anand V. Subramaniam. The sources said that superstar Shah Rukh has also visited Charu in the hospital. The 26-year-old animator suffered multiple fractures and injuries in her spinal cord when a speeding Honda City car rammed into the auto rickshaw in which she was returning home with her sister and a friend.
