Shahid-Alia to play insomniacs in Shaandaar?

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has recently wrapped up his film Haider. The movie directed by Vishal Bhardwaj is all set to hit the screens on October 2. After portraying the role of a ruthless lad in the film, Shahid will soon be back with yet another experimental role. If reports are to be believed, both Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been roped in to play insomniacs in his upcoming flick Shaandaar.

The shooting for Vikas Bahl's Shaandaar has already started. Social networking websites were flooded with photographs of Shahid Kapoor riding a horse. The actor who went bald for his role in Haider will soon be back with a new look for his forthcoming movie and according to the grapevine, both Shahid and Alia's characters are peculiar in the film. The couple reportedly meets during a marriage ceremony, where their common disease helps them to connect with each other.

Apparently, Vikas Bahl and his unit had to do a lot of study on insomnia. The two lead actors were provided with articles on the disease so that they could get known with the problem and its nuances.

Apart from Shahid and Alia, Shandaar will also feature veteran actor Pankaj Kapur and will mark the acting debut of his sister Sanah. The movie is slated to release next year.
