Shahid Kapoor hopes to reoccupy hearts with Phata Poster Nikhla Hero

The chocolate boy of the industry, Shahid Kapoor, is hopeful with his new film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero that’s releasing tomorrow. The actor was invisible from quite some time but now he thinks that this flick will raise his bar in Bollywood. The32-year-old talks about his film,"It is out an out a masala entertaining character, which I haven't played earlier. I haven't said massy one liners, tapori songs etc...this zone is different for me. The most challenging part was to adapt to this genre."

Shahid is going to play a real life character, a passionate Salman Khan fan in the film. The actor said that he was excited that he got a chance to play a fan. He also commented on his last unsuccessful projects after Badmassh Company, "I feel when the time is right almost every decision you make seems right. And my time is not right and all my decisions don't seem to go right. Because the time when you sign a film and till the time the film gets made it is a long journey. Once I have taken a decision I have always stood by it... regardless of the final outcome."

Shahid plans to rebuild his occupied space, "As an actor you have to make an effort to build equation with the people you work with. It is not a forced effort. But you need to take certain steps to make the team invest in you and you invest in them." Phata Poster Nikhla Hero directed and written by Rajkumar Santoshi is an action comedy flick starring Shahid Kapoor opposite Ileana D'Cruz in lead roles. Meanwhile, he has two more flicks in hand i.e. Rambo Rajkumar and Milan Talkies.
